board games

I've focused mainly on the traditional spin-off material here, but a post on Wacky Comics about the Scream Inn board game caught my eye and I decided that it would be a good idea to start indexing the traditional board games which have appeared over the years. To my knowledge there isn't a decent dedicated index of these ephemera kicking around the internet, and it is rather difficult to find out much about some of the releases through my usual methods of researching bygone publications (ransacking yet more catalogs is, for the moment, going to have to wait) but this represents what I have managed to find thus far.

Beano Misfits (Rocket)
Dan Dare merchandise is listed here under Games
Judge Dredd Board Game (Games Workshop, Ltd., 1982)
Rogue Trooper (Games Workshop, Ltd., 1987)
Scream Inn (Denys Fisher, 1970s?)
Starblazer Adventures
Thunderbirds International Rescue Game (which isn't as good as it sounds)

I know it is American, and thus outside of my remit here, but I can't help but bring your attention to the beautiful The Virginian Game: Adventure At Shiloh Ranch - if it is half as entertaining as the WDL comic, then it looks as if it might end up on my list of future purchases... And yes, there are a number of Doctor Who board games, but I'll leave their inclusion for someone who knows more about the individual releases to index.

For a while, I was sure that I had seen - somewhere - a Roger Mellie board game, but my mind may be playing tricks on me.

I'll update as new information becomes available.
